Our Story: From "No" to "Yes"

Guided by family lessons. Fueld by purpose.

When our kids were 13, 14, 15, and 17, my wife and I realized we had become what we jokingly called “the No Parents.”

“Can we go out to eat?” — No.
“Can we go shopping for new shoes?” — No.
“Can I get a new iPhone?” — Definitely no.

It felt like every conversation ended with us saying no, and honestly, we were exhausted. I wanted to be the Yes Dad — but I also wanted to raise kids who understood that steak dinners, a third pair of cool shoes, and the latest iPhone for four teens adds up fast!

That’s when it hit me: our kids didn’t have a clue about money — not because they didn't care, but because we'd never given them a chance to learn. Every decision about money came down to a simple yes or no. We hadn't taken the opportunity to be their mentor.

So, one night after another round of “Can we eat out?” I sat down and asked myself: What would it look like to teach them to make those decisions themselves — responsibly?

That question changed everything.

Through trial, error, and some adjustments, we created a system that gave our kids control of their own budgets — a system that didn’t require us to increase our spending, but shifted responsibility to them. The result? They began making smarter choices, thinking ahead, and appreciating the real value of money.

In a very short period of time we became the Yes Parents!

“Can we go out to eat?” — Yes.
“Can we go shopping for new shoes?” — Yes.
“Can I get a new iPhone?” — Definitely yes.

Then for a short time the following question would be  am I paying for it? Our answer again was a resounding Yes! We were literally saying yes to almost everything. Why? Because the kids had their own budget. Our teens absolutely loved having their own money and the freedom to choose how to spend it. Everyone one of them quickly learned the value of every dollar they had and their views rapidly changed.

Those experiences became what is now the Millionaire Mentor Method — a framework built on real family experiences, not theory.

Today, our teens manage their own money with monthly budgeting, have thousands in savings, and tens of thousands invested in their Roth IRAs. If they did nothing else with those investments, they’re already on track to retire as millionaires. If they keep applying what they’ve learned, they’ll experience a lifetime of financial freedom.

And the best part? We became the Yes Parents!
We say yes — because they now understand the why behind every financial decision.

The Millionaire Mentor Method isn’t about changing your family’s budget. It’s about changing your family’s perspective — teaching your teens responsibility, self-awareness, and confidence that will last a lifetime.

We’ve seen the transformation firsthand, and now, we want to help your family experience it too.
Transform your teen’s future by teaching them the financial skills they need today — so they can thrive tomorrow.

Luke Anderson

I’d like to share my story with you—not to impress you, but to encourage you. I want you to understand where I came from, the challenges I faced, and why I’m so passionate about helping you and your family build financial freedom.

I grew up in Douglas, Wyoming, where my parents owned a family dairy farm. We had around 120 milk cows and 1,000 acres of farm land, and it was a 24/7 family operation. My parents instilled in me a strong work ethic, but financially, we struggled. The 1980s were brutal for family-run farms, and I saw the hardship up close. Bill collectors called constantly, and I’ll never forget the tears on my mother’s face after one of those calls. I grew up believing that no matter how hard you work, money was always difficult to make. That mindset of scarcity shaped much of my early life.

At 18, I left home determined to live within my means and avoid debt. But life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with late-stage leukemia at 22 years old. My only option was a bone marrow transplant, and thanks to my brother’s donation, I was given a second chance at life. I’ve now been cancer-free for over 27 years.

But survival came at a cost. By the time I was released from the hospital at age 23, I had hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical debt and no catastrophic insurance to cover it. Overwhelmed, I eventually declared bankruptcy. It felt like I was reliving the same financial pain I had watched my parents endure.

During treatment, my mom gave me The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. That book opened my eyes to how much attitude impacts outcome. It set me on a journey of personal growth, self-development, and financial education. At 23, I started my first business and have been a lifelong entrereneur. Over the years I’ve built businesses, had failures, learned, and transitioned—gaining wisdom and resilience each step of the way.

Another deep desire of mine was always to be a father. Because of my cancer treatments, I couldn’t have biological children, so I turned to adoption. Today, I’m blessed to be the proud father of four beautiful kids. They are my why. They remind me daily why financial security matters so much.

Fast forward to today: I’m a financially independent miillionaire—not because of luck, but because I applied the principles I now teach. We live debt-free, we own our home and cars outright, we maintain a family emergency fund, and invest for the future. Most importantly, I have peace of mind and freedom to live with intention.

I share this not to boast, but to show you that transformation is possible—even in the face of hardship. I know what it feels like to struggle, to worry about bills, and to feel like there’s never enough. But I also know the joy of breaking free from that cycle and creating a life of stability, peace, and freedom.

I created this course out of love for my kids, and with the belief that parents hold the greatest opportunity to shape their children’s financial future. My passion is helping families, like yours, experience the same freedom I’ve found. Financial security isn’t just about personal freedom—it’s about building stronger families, stronger communities, and ultimately, a better world.

That’s the journey I want to share with you, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as your mentor.
